The Stendhaliens
8 workshops, 242 sculptures Participants were invited to make a figure with two eyes and were given 8 minutes. The un-fired figures were then displayed together and members of the public had the opportunity to destroy them. All 242 walked the plank to their demise and the clay returned to the earth. |
The Arches
5 students in their 2nd year of sculpture at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin completed a series of workshops in Willow weaving and thatch to help create two archways. The arches are entry points and remain, living structures on the grounds of Stendhal Festival of Art. |
The Salvaged Meadow
12 workshops spanning over 3 weeks catering for a range of age groups and capability levels resulted in 93 resplendent flowers. When planted together the Salvaged Meadow transpired. The flowers were made using recycled plastic bottles, beer tubing and insulation foam. |
